Giro Apps

Giro AppSolutions, Inc. was founded on June 2009. Our first app, ZZips Philippines, continues to be one of the Top Reference apps in the PH AppStore. Our second app, Enjoy Philippines, is one of the Top Lifestyle apps in the PH AppStore. Tawag Pinoy is our first app for the year 2010, and is our first paid application.

Software Development and Engineering is handled by Yves Gonzalez (doblezeta). User Interface and Design is handled by Laura Noel (laura). Many thanks to our mentor, Greg Reichow of MangoCode (iManila), for his valuable contributions.

Giro Apps is dedicated to writing iPhone apps specifically made for Filipinos and all the iPhone users in the Philippines.

A lawyer by profession, Yves (aka doblezeta) currently works for the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) as their resident Communications and Technology guy. He heads their Twitter, Facebook, Design and Layout, Website, and Email teams.

He learned to write iOS apps while studying for the 2009 bar exams, in which he placed 6th overall.

Yves is also the founder of www.applei.ph, the Filipino iPhone Community website, as well as the man behind the @PCOSmachine twitter account.

He is overweight.

Laura is a 3rd year law student in Ateneo Law by day, & a top notch graphic designer and UI developer at night.

She also does iPhone software related services during the times in between.

Co-founder of Giro Apps, she has also recently delved into web development, this website being her first creation. Her portfolio includes the design of applei.ph and the recently relaunched websites of the Metro Manila Development Agency (MMDA) and the Gonzales Batiller David Leabres Reyes Law Firm.

But the best part is that she can cook!
